Met online dating site Tinder. He has a French? accent, born in San Diego but grew up in Pairs. He has 2 kids, Jenni and Jackson and his mother, all apparently living in the Baltimore area. He claims to be civil engineer living in Phoenix and heading to Malaysia for a large bridge repair project. Had 60 workers flying out with him. Sent me copy of the government contract and the actual "fake" paycheck issued to him from the Finance Minister of Malaysia totaling $12 million is US$$ for safe keeping and a way to earn my trust. He had to come back to me to cash his check to pay his investors, and workers.

Early on he begain inquiring about my finances, and began asking for financial help when a problem arose with one of his investors prior to leaving the states. I said no no no and ended the conversation. He persisted and apologized and continued to woo me into believing him. Once he arrived in Malaysia his Catapillar broke down needing new tires and a cylinder at a cost of $250,000 to repair. I fell for the story and wired $75,000. A week went by, the project was complete but now needed $250000 to get a certificate of completion from the Works Minister, claiming the government was corrupt and he could not cash his 12 million check without the certificate when he returned to the US. (He uses Bank of America). I asked for a copy of his passport, which had obviously been alterned, name and date of birth. He then sent a copy of his french passport and the photo was identical to the one on his Tinder dating profile. It had simply been cut out of a snapshot and pasted onto of someone's shoulders.
His daugther texted me calling me "mom, and asking me if I loved her dad.
He would call at least 4 or 5 times a day and would talk for hours at a time. He was very good at convincing me he was real. He loved me wanted to marry me have a life etc. I told him about a condo I liked and he said he wanted to buy it for us when he returned. I put a $20,000 deposit down and the seller sent him a purchase and sales agreement which he signed. Of course his signatures were phony. I was able to stop payment on my deposit check after explaining to the sales person that this was all a scam.
He also asked me to purchase iTune cards for an AP he needed for his work. I sent $400 worth to him.
I tracked down several other women on LinkedIn and 3 admitted to being scammed by him.
I learned from one of these women his real name is Robert Evra Peters, married to Michelle and lives in Canada. Evra is the middle name is currently uses.
He was using his Verison phone number 443 438 8947, with a Baltimore area code. I told him the FBI was tracing his call and he hung up immediately and began using untraceable calling cards.
He hasn't tried to contact me once I told him I knew his true identity.
He also has a friend/scammer, who claims to be his daughter Jenni's future father in law. I spoke with him and after accusing him him of being part of the scam he reponded with an text saying he was ex military and he would hunt me down and beat me like a dog.
