My dad is 85 years old and has problems with his memory and money. This person called him and said that he overpaid 600.00 on his computer clean up. Of course he believed them. They told him he needed 1000.00 in his account for them to give him the 600.00 back. They told him as soon as the money hits his account he should keep the 600 and send them 400.00. Luckily, I found out about it and told him that the 1000.00 would bounce so to leave it there and not use it. I also told him not to send them any money. They called me and I told them they were scamming him. Leon Russell called my dad back and said that I said it was ok. I put a stop too it. I thought that was the end. Today we find out that this Leon Russell used my dads information and took out a loan for the 1000.00 with Cash Net USA. I called Cash Net USA and they said they would still have to charge him the interest. UGH. I am the process of making a police report.
