Rec'd email from Amazon thanking for using their services with offer of Free items to choose from. Only paying shipping $5.99. Last credit card review revealed that Allegro Luxury had charged my account twice for shipping plus $98.00 for two items, one last month and again for another one today. Both items were received but unexpectedly for an amount never agreed upon. Spoke to rep (Andrea)at 844-847-4411 who, authorized by an unknown supervisor (would not provide name), to provide a refund of $98.00 for second item shipped and received but not the first item. Allegro claims to be working for multiple vendors and will not supply the name of the manufacturer or actual shipper of the item. Informed the rep that I will be filing a complaint with NY State Consumer Affairs and NY State AG's office plus Channel 4 Jessica Jarvis of Consumer complaints. Account has been cancelled and I was provided a cancellation number plus a refund number. Allegro claims that a refund will be processed within 2-3 days for $98.00 and items will not have to be returned, although I do want to return them for full refunds. Just (within one hour of discussion with Allegro) rec'd an email from Allegro stating refund for @98.00 was processed.
