Went to purchase Norton/Advance System Care, while downloading there was a message to call and speak with a technician. This technician ran a diagnostics and there were numerous "threats" and viruses in the system. We were recently hacked and lost money, so I was fearful this had happened again. I was sent to another technician to do the "repairs" on my system. This took a couple hours and there were several costly additional charges for "lifetime" software service and "Lifetime" software PC shield antivirus. I've been frustrated as I have not been able to access and have been locked out of areas I used to be able to access for work, so I let them make the changes. Now, after doing a web research, I'm finding 2 things, upclick is a strong "safe" organization and the other is that this is a scam system taking advantage of people frustrated and concerned related to performance and safety of their PC protection system. Well, $666.88 later and I'm concerned too. I would have thought the download would have walked one through the "clean-up" without needing a remote access. Very concerned for my Identity, accounts and upset at my loss of money at this time.
