While I was in google I had a pop up screen appear that appeared to be from microsoft and my computer screen was locked and a voice over message kept repeating that I had a virus in my computer and that the screen had been blocked. I even turned off my computer but it kept on going. I was unable to do anything or get out of the screen. The message was to ring this number 1800940863 to get help. They were able to control my computer through a rescue-me login portal and showed me files that were apparently infected with the virus. I paid $242.73 but they kept saying I would have to pay another $599.00 which I soon realised was a scam. I am trying to stop the payment to them through my bank. If this happens to you do not get sucked in by it.
