I was taken in by the Free Sample scam and foolishly provided my Visa info for $3.95 US shipping charge.
Within a day received a phone call using pressure tactics to order more product which I refused and told the caller that I wished nothing to do with the company and cancel any samples. However, I did receive the sample by post and should have returned it immediately not realizing my position!
Next was the $154.52 Can charge to my Visa.
Royal Bank won't reverse the charge but I did get a promised $40 US credit from Abella Mayfair after a no. of calls plus a confirmation of cancellation and of course changed my Visa card.
It may not be over but expected my Bank to be more aware of this scam and taken action by warning their customers.
I suppose I should consider myself fortunate but have not or will never use this product!
