I was scammed. The promotion stated I would receive a download for software and a 1 year subscription to Prevention for $11.88. I was sent a link to download the software that only said that the real link would be sent in 48 hours, Also, it stated that I was being charged $15.85 instead of $11.88 (doesn't seem like a lot of money, but that's 33% higher than what was authorized, so imagine doing that to multiple customers). Here is the worse part. Trialpay's customer service phone was/is a fast busy signal, and they have not replied to my emails. I told them to cancel everything because it was not as represented. (I never did receive the additional software link in 48 hours and no longer want it.) When I called my credit card company to describe the situation, they said that there was no charge to dispute, because they had ("perhaps mistakenly") put through a $0 charge instead. The card company said the only way they would be allowed to put through another charge would be if I gave a new authorization. Of course, I did not do so, but now . . . five days after I cancelled everything, someone (presumably Prevention) has put through a $15.85 charge (which I not only have already cancelled, but was never the amount authorized) AND I never have received any replies from Trialpay's cutomer service emails. It may not seem like a lot of money, but I was scammed. I just want my money back, and do not want the software or the magazine.
