I have a Best Buy Geek Squad Protection Plan which I believed I called when my computer was hacked. The rep that answered the call, did, over period of hours, solve the problem and explained that the router card was encrypted to prevent further episodes. He sold me a lifetime protection plan for $349.99. When I got a charge on credit card later for Best Buy Geek Squad protection plan auto renewal, I called Best Buy to learn that there was no evidence of the 349.99 plan. I checked the bank statement to find the telephone number of Geeks Technical Support and phoned, asking for the documents pertinent to the protection plan. He sent me a poorly worded email telling me all the "details" of the subscription plan. I want to follow up but fear that their working on my computer allows them to further clandestine access and I'm at risk.
