HostelWorld has charged me a deposit of 15% that amounts to $24.0 for booking a hostel named Pacific Loft Apartments, (NYC hostel) while the hostel had a problem to charge credit cards. THE HOSTEL WANTED CASH INSTEAD, which was not what is stated on the hostel profile, and which i wasn't able to do.

Other guests that came on the same time paid with cash, however this a pure blackmail, since evidently if you can't pay with cash, YOU LOSE THE DEPOSIT.

The hostel manager claimed to HostelWorld that the problem with charging a credit card was temporary, while at the actual place the manager said he does not know when the problem will be fixed, AND HE WANTS CASH!

HostelWorld simply took the manager position, and for sure they are now continuing to scam people in the same manner,

soliciting people to pay with cash, thus also causing tax evasion.

DO NOT USE THE HOSTELWORLD APP! THEY WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR NOTHING.
