I also received a check in the mail from alven market research for $1990.00. I was told that I had been chosen as a mystery shopper and to complete two assignments: spend $100 @ walmart, kmart, home depot, jcpenney, or sears and then send $1300.00 via western union to one of two people. Both of these people were in Spain. That was a RED FLAG for me, so I got on the internet and did some research of my own. Found out about all of the people who have been scammed by this company. So glad I didn't cash the check!!!!
