I was directed to this site by searching for a particular movie and was promised that they had the movie to either watch or download simply by giving them a name and email address to confirm it. This wasn't true. Next they wanted a credit card but promised not to charge it unless I failed to cancel my membership within 5 days. Once I signed up and tried to watch the movie I got nothing but ads.

Then I tried to download the movie, but that involved installing software on my computer with a lengthy agreement that wanted permission to do lots of things that have nothing to do with downloading movies (like delivering ads, etc.) So I didn't install the software and therefore couldn't continue the download.

So I called them to find out why I couldn't just use the normal mechanisms to download the movie and they informed me that they didn't have the movie I was looking for and that some of their affiliates don't realize that fact and promise movies they cannot deliver. So they cancelled my account but didn't send me an email to confirm that fact.

So I called them again a few hours later to find out why and they said they don't normally send cancellation emails but that I could go to their site and request one. When I did that I found out that there was a fee involved for that too.

I'm writing to warn others that this company is definitely sleazy if not outright fraudulent. My credit card company informed me that there is a pending charge for slightly more than one dollar but that they cannot do anything to stop it. Now I must watch the bill and call them again if Flix247 fails to release the hold or tries to apply additional charges.
