Coinstar SAYS it has over 60,000 (?) restaurants to get coupons for. They do not let you see what restaurants they are. I can only afford like the $4 hamburger at Steak N Shake or a $1 meal at McDonald's. So, decided doubling my change with a restaurant coupon was good. Surely, there were some chains in those 60,000 + restaurants.
NO. There is one restaurant within 15 miles and maybe 25-30 in a 45 mile range. And, they are expensive. I cannot afford the $45 meal to use the coupon. I can't afford the gas to get to them.
Frankly, I think they should be forced to tell you the names of the restaurants BEFORE you put your money in. I would NEVER have chosen that option had I known. Now I have a piece of paper that is NOT VALID FOR CASH
I know that $22.16 doesn't sound like much but we are on social security disability income and have to use food banks now.
