In June of this year a representative from A1 contacted me, Kevin McDonald contacted me about selling my timeshare. I asked him how his company was different than other companies that had also contacted me. He took me to a webpage in which I have a copy. I will quote their advertising " We do reverse marketing by getting buyers before contacting any sellers and rentors. If your property qualifies, ( I assumed mine did since they were willing to market it)
we absolutely guarantee the the rental or the sale of your timeshare." Furthur it states " Our company is designed to move every property. Our brand is the most recognized in the timeshare resale industry." They pointed to the online BBB logo on the webpage with their A+ rating, By the way the online BBB is also a sham company and needs shutdown. After I agreed to their fee they
to took me through a telephone confirmation process in which in agreeing to the fee and signing a contract I expressed in the conversation their guaranteed sale pledge based on pre-screened clients. A few weeks later after not recieving any return phone calls or not any offers of any kind. I called and in a rare time I got a rep on the line, I asked for a copy of the recording, they refused. I also found out with the regular BBB, they have an F rating with many complaints. to date 11/4/11 I have still not recieved any offers, only 1 returned phone call, saying people are looking at the property. In listing the property they listed the wrong week not the one on the contract I signed. I emailed them and asked them to relist the property at a reduced price. To date their has been no reply as to whether this has been complied with. What came of the pre-screened buyers and guaranteed sale. I am asking for a full return of the marketing fee of $863.00, a full investigation of this company and other complaints. This company needs to be shutdown, they are a complete sham.
