Almost the same as comment from other lady. I was telephoned from a woman posing as someone from Microsoft.....don't hang up your computer has been hacked etc. Had an Indian accent asked me to type into 'run' the letters cmd. This brought up a black 'box' showing where my computer had been supposedly hacked and also the licence number. She then put me onto an Indian speaking man who then proceeded to manipulate my computer remotely saying he was installing a virus protection which eventually lead to me having to provide my credit card details. I felt quite sick when I realised I had been fooled and can't believe I didn't act quickly enough to pull out the phone line from the computer. I cancelled my credit card the next day and changed the password on my internet banking. I disconnected my computer and it is now in the hands of the computer doctor where hopefully my files are still intact. The Indian callers kept calling me for the next couple of days and I told them I have reported them to the Australian Federal Police. Someone rang me again tonight and I hung up on them.
