Before purchasing my vehicle from North Georgia Auto Brokers, I reviewed several issues I had with the car. I ended up buying the vehicle with two bad tires, only one of which was acknowledged as "bad" by the dealership. (I had to install two new tires at over $400 immediately after purchasing the vehicle before I could safely drive it home.) That was the least of my problems. Their ad for the vehicle claimed it had "ice cold AC." I tested the air conditioning before purchasing the vehicle, and being that it was around 45 degrees that morning, the air that entered the vehicle was cold at the time. (I took that as the AC worked.) When I returned home after purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that the air conditioner was not working at all. I called the dealership the next business day and informed them of this. I asked them what they were going to do about it since they had advertised the vehicle incorrectly. I was told to "go to Auto Zone and buy the cans of stuff." I informed them that I would be taking the car to a mechanic to be looked at, and if it was the compressor or anything other than a simple freon recharge I would be expecting them to pay for the repair due to their false representation of the vehicle. The condenser ended up being completely broken -- an almost $700 repair. I called the dealership the same day and I was told "the owner was not going to give any money on that car," and that he had "already lost too much money on it already." I asked to speak to the owner and was told he was not there. When asked, they told me he would be available the next day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. When I called the next day between those hours, he was conveniently unavailable again. I was forced to have the repairs done myself and pay for it out of pocket, as I have a small baby and it would not be safe to have him in the car for any period of time without air conditioning in the Florida heat.
