I got a call from a Ryan Tyler from the federal grant department of the Federal reserve bank of New York, and said I was awarded a federal grant from government of $7000 today, which I did apply for a few months ago for school. They asked me for the account number where they could deposit the money, and I gave it to them, and they gave me a confirmation number and a phone number to call. So i called the number and they asked me to go to western union and wire them $109 for application fees. I looked up the federal banks # and called them and they told me that it was a scam. now they have my wifes bank info and i am worried that they will start dipping into the account. Its not alot but its all we have and we have a 2 year old daughter. The first # they called from showed up as a 623 area code. When I recalled the # it was 01191-623-443-4520. They also gave me the # 202-609-7027 to call and give confirmation #rc226 to the manager of the bank. His name was Wayne Bruce. ( REALLY!!!! Batman!!) So i called and he wanted me to go to western union and send the $$ and call him back when I was done so he could send the money. I toldhim i was not going to western union and asked him to send the money first. he said they couldn't do that. them he said so you don't get the grant then I said fine and hung up. They do have my wife's account info and makes me a little worried. The guys on the phone said the application fee's would be donated to people from in need from other countries like India, Pakistan, Indonesia and the guys had Indian accents.
