Signed up for a loan online.I am self-employed and my business has been slow this last month. This company called me along w/ 15 other phone numbers. today I had 133 SPAM messages in my inbox from loan companies The rep " Jackson" (heavy Indian accent) stated I was approved for $1500 loan payable in 12 months - $140/ month- reasonable terms for my decent FICO score of 626.
Said I neede to get $140 on a Vanilla Visa gift card and call them back. I didn't know they were going to take the cash I just loaded on that card?? Then he says I have a "Red Flag" on my SSN and I will need to get $240 more. I said "For what?".he said that is the fee to remove the red flag from my SSN. He said the $1500 was wired into my account then the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) froze the money and it woould cost me $500 to remove the freeze. Obviously, not going to give a nother penny. This is a scam and is exactly what hapened w/ the others using this company who are desperate for cash to help pay some bills.
I contacted FTC and made a complaint also.
Steer clear of this company!!!!
