I ordered a Sony DSC-HX300 online from this company because I found best price and free shipping plus a starter kit of little value.
I placed the order, and as with other complainants, got a call saying the price did not include $30 handling, and the camera did not include a battery. Battery packs depending on life per charge ran from $60-$120 but for $100 they would give me the best battery with an 8-hour life per charge. I agreed and paid $450 for the camera advertised at $320. I immediately regretted being suckered into this extra 30% and wrote a complaint by email, got a call saying to make me a satisfied customer they would send me a second battery free. I didn't try to cancel or send back because they charge a 25% restocking fee and I would have to pay the shipping back--equivalent to the 30% I had been suckered out of. I did get the camera quickly and it included the free starter kit but no battery/charger pack or free extra battery. The package with the camera DID have a battery included in the standard items supplied with the camera by Sony. I did get the extra battery a few days later, but have emailed them 3 times saying I did not get the $100 battery/charger pack I had paid for and threatening to file complaints if I didn't get it. As of yesterday Jan 21, I did not receive it, nor any response by email or telephone. After paying for the order, I found hundreds of complaints against them online. Why hasn't somebody shut them down? This is the first time I had any problem with any online order, but I will check for complaints with
every company in the future. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM AJRICHIE OF NEW YORK!
