Lee Robert aka Colin Mason or whatever he is calling himself these days is a total scam artist.

In the summer, I responded to an ad looking for background extras for films. Upon my first meeting with Lee, he asked for $169 to pay for the printing costs of giving my photo out to casting directors. He sold it very well and his professional looking office was brimming with people looking to sign up as well, so I assumed it was legit.

A few later and no correspondence to my email or The Actor's Den made me give them a call back. Lee is never available to accept your calls, so I emailed as well to no avail. Finally I was contacted by Lee, but not for extra work, rather to do promotional tastings for Molson at several Calgary liquor stores. I completed four 6-hour shifts over the course of two weeks and submitted my paperwork for payment. Lee then told me that sometimes it takes up to 90 days for Molson to pay his talent agency and that's their typical turnaround time.

I continued to check-in every two weeks in regard to my cheque with no returned calls from Lee. I switched to email, with no response from Lee. Finally I wrote a message to Clearly Creative's Facebook page outlining my lack of payment for over 4 months and almost immediately received a voicemail from Lee stating he had no idea what promotional tastings I was referring to, he claimed he no paperwork from me, neither him nor his staff had recollection of my attempts to follow-up on my cheque, and if I continued to contact them he would be calling his lawyer...

Lee Robert and Clearly Creative Talent is the biggest scam around and most of the people he preys on are university students or people looking to make extra money or get part-time work. They are bullies, liars, and thieves and I would highly highly advise anyone looking to respond to their ads to do their research or dig deeper to uncover the truth when meeting with Lee.
