I signed myself and a son of mine up with an agency - of course I was very naive to have PAID to have to sign up with them. I understood they were a talent agency. After a few months and having read up on Clearly Creative Talent not having a very good reputation, I chose to discontinue my membership with them, as they are registered with Actors Den which continue to withdraw close to 5.00 for EACH my son and I on a monthly basis. I was advised that I must request this in writing. See below:

"All members of WORLD TALENT SYSTEMS/THE ACTORS DEN have to cancel the same way. We are NOT part of any of the agencies that make use of our

site. Cancelling with them DOES NOT CANCEL you with us. If you take a look at the REGISTRATION ON LINE for THE ACTORS DEN you will notice in Step

#4 (STEP #6 ON FORMS) states: "I may cancel the authorization at any time upon providing 30 DAYS WRITTEN NOTICE by registered mail to THE ACTORS DEN." Now, we DO NOT have to have it registered, but we DO require it to be by mail. It takes a few business days to receive it from Calgary and you can adjust that time period where you live and we will have you removed within 30 days of receiving it." Very aggravating. For those of you considering on joining them, may I suggest you don't. For acting purposes, even GOOD agents don't charge for initial registration with them. For general employment purposes, agencies don't charge to register with them either. Instead, both make a profit once the person who they're representing starts making some profit.
