In October of 2012 Readers called asking about me purchasing magazines and I told them no. But of course they kept asking and asking and said that I could cancel at anytime and then I finally gave up... Well what I understood was that there would be a one time deduction on my American express card and that if I got tired or decided that I no longer wanted to receive these magazines I could cancel at anytime. So this didn't sound so bad. I ACCEPTED. (Inappropriate Content Removed). Now it has been a year and 2 months and I slowed down long enough to look at my American Express card and noticed VIP READERS... at first I didn't even remember and then it came back to me. I got on the phone and because I didn't have an acct number I could not talk to someone. Called today and they are saying they have a recording of me agreeing to pay for it for 24 months. I heard you pay a one time payment of $39.90 and recieve 24 months of magazines. I was ready to be done with the phone call. Call my American Express card customer service and they have stopped the payment. ( I usually just buy magazines at the store if I want to look at them.. ) What a freaking mess.SG
