After filling out an on-line survey for a department store, I got a pop-up saying I was getting a free gift for filling out the survey. I was given a few choices and I chose a cosmetic facial cream. All it said I had to pay was $5.99 + tax to cover S.&H. The total was $6.36 Cnd. which came out of my chequing account on Oct. 7/13. The package arrived by mail about 5-7 days later. On Nov. 1/13, there was another debit from my chequing account in the amount of $107.42. I didn't remember purchasing anything for this amount so I went to the bank to see who had withdrawn this money from my account. The bank said it was a company "Get Black Diamond". I didn't know who this was, and then I remembered the bottle of facial cream was called Black Diamond. On Nov. 18/13, there was another debit from my chequing account in the amount of $118.22. I went back to the bank and they said it was "Get Black Diamond" again. I asked if I could get a stop payment on this company so they couldn't get more money from my account. The bank said no because there was no set date or amount of money. Each time the amount was different and I never knew when they were going to get into my account again. I disputed the last two withdrawals from my account with the bank and they said they would look into it but didn't know how long this was going to take. I feel I have been totally dooped and feel stupid for giving my banking information. I did receive the facial cream they said was my gift and paid the S.&H. they asked for, but I have no idea what the $226.64 they withdrew from my account was for. When I received the cream, there was no letter in the box or any information about the company or how to get in touch with them if there was a problem. I have had success with Scambook in the past, and hope I can get help again. I will keep in touch if I hear anything from the bank. I really hope you can help.
Thank You,
