I had made an online magazine subscription for the Prevention Magazine from Rodale Inc. Company. When I was finished a survey came up and for completing it I was offered a 2GB Ipod Shuffle and I authorized a $3.00 charge to my credit card. I did not receive the ipod but was sent a pedometer instead. When my visa bill came in, unfortunately, I did not check the charges for a few weeks. When I checked my credit card there were 2 additional charges for $49.99 from bidou.ca that I did not authorize. I called Rodale and they said that they sent me the pedometer free of charge and the transactions I was charged were not from them. They told me that Bidou was an on-line auction and they gave me 2 telephone numbers to try to contact Bidou but they were both out of service. When I contacted Rodale again to inform them of this I was told to go to their web site and cancel a service that I never even signed up for. I also called President's Choice( my credit card company) and was told that there was a recurring monthly charge from Bidou. They also gave me the same phone number that Rodale had given me to call Bidou to cancel the service.

Both Rodale and President's Choice companies know of this scam and nobody is doing anything to protect their customers.

I have sent many emails to Bidou telling them that I did not sign up for any service from them and have not made any bids on their web site. They refuse to refund my money.

Bidou company is a big scam and operate on underhanded and deceitful tactics.
