I typed in Permanent Residence Card renewal into google and ImmigrationDirect.ca was top link so I clicked it believing that it was the government website. It asked for my credit card information first and charged me $48.65 for processing fee. Then I filled out all my personal information such as name, address etc. After I filled out the form, the website asked me to pay for processing fee of $50 again so I thought something was wrong, and I phoned my credit card company. The odd thing is they somehow managed to charge me $26 the day before I gave them my credit card information. I also googled if ImmigrationDirect.ca is a scam or not and turns out it is since I read many reviews. I called my credit card company to block my card and I am hoping to get a full refund. But I am the most worried about the personal information that the scam website now have. I don't know if the government can help with taking down this website/company or pursue a lawsuit. If you know anything about possible actions that can be taken to shut down the site, I will appriciate it.
