I too thought I was on the Florida DMV website and paid the $14 to renew my license. Once I received the response email, I realized that I had been scammed and paid $14 for a useless PDF link that provided general information about how to renew a driver's license (information that most any currently licensed citizen already knows).

I then went back to their site and poked around a bit. I clicked on the "Terms and Conditions" (which we never read) and I pasted that info below. REALLY?? Geez....I'll request the refund and will post here again if I am successful in getting one. Unbelieveable....very disappointing. :(

By the way, I found no reference whatsoever on the "Official DMV Website" (http://www.flhsmv.gov) to this or any other scam sites....wouldn't one think there would be a link or at least a blurb that says something about other sites misrepresenting the "official site" and what to do if you've been scammed?

Uch....guess it's a case of BUYER BEWARE....Shame on me??? Moving on now...here are the Terms and Conditions of the SCAM SITE (http://floridadriverslicensing.org). We'll see about the "Refund Policy". Lots of legal babble to follow. Notice the first item is "Refund Policy"....hmmmmm....guess I'm not alone here?
