Young guy came to our door selling magazine subscriptions or taking donations for children's hospitals. He said he was competing against another team to score points to win a trip to Italy. Showed a ID and some brochures, so I bought in and donated $55 cash for kids books. The guy wrote a receipt and left. I was a little suspicious after looking up Explorer Communications website, and nearly every search for their name flagged it as a scam. Not sure if the guy is 'in on it' or is under the impression he could win a trip working for Explorer Comm, but he left our apartment complex in a hurry....
I'm not too happy that he has my address and signature on that receipt either.
