I recieved the same email and was asked to delete the ad. I felt like it was shady from the beginning, but she was the first to respond to my craigslist ad so I found it only fair to let her have it first. I gave her my address and name and recieved the check this morning. The item I sold was for $125, the check was written for $1700, thats when I knew something wasn't right. The check was from some attorneys office, so I called them and the woman I spoke to said it was a scam, that the check was bad and she wasn't sure what was going on. I don't understand what they're benefitting from this though? Spending the money to mail the check and the time out of the email.
