This company advertised a model casting call for a popular African American Magazine. They had a conference call with all potential candidates. They said the people selected will fly to LA all expenses paid and a $5000 compensation for the job. The next day they TEXTED those chosen and said you have to create a membership on exclusivecastingcompany.com. There you have to pay 99$. The "creative director , Mellisa Wills, will be the contact person from that point forward. Well after paying and finally getting to see the website contact info. The phone number did not work. It said the Google Voice account is no longer in service. Then I contacted the young lady that had communicated with me the day before. I googled all parties involved and got no info. This made me very "iffy". So I called the Magazine and the cosmetic company supposedly doing the shoot. No SHOOT. I told the woman the phone number was disconnected and after I requested a refund I noticed the phone number had been changed to her number. Then I received an email from the " casting director" that misspelled her own name THREE times in the body of her email stating it will take three weeks before I will get any info about the shoot. I questioned all actions and this individual became very nasty via email stating they aren't scam artists etc. She then said you have a refund we are using someone else. Isn't it strange the creative director for the magazine knows about a subscription to a casting agency within in MINUTES of the refund? Yes, this is definitely a scam and I pray to God these women are caught.
