Purchased Groupon for $20 for 6 weeks of fitness training. I went one time. After class the instructor had me sign a "liability waiver & agreement." We had about 5 minutes as other people were coming in for the next class. I also was needing to go. Like a fool, I gave my credit card number when she asked for it...in the case "I joined after the 6 weeks." I know, I know...extremely foolish.

The facility and the style of workout was not for me and I never went back. A month later I saw a charge for $105.44 on my credit card statement. That was 2 month ago and 2 additional charges on my card since then.

I called the phone number on the Groupon...never an answer or a return call. I called the number on my credit card statement, same thing. I stopped by the "store front" facility at various times of day and evening...door locked, no one there. I emailed through their website and received an automatic response saying they would get back to me as soon as possible...never heard from them. Finally one night I caught a male trainer just as he was leaving and he gave me the "cancellation" number, which I called the next day. I did then receive an email stating that I had to COME IN and fill out a cancellation form. I didn't know I signed anything that I needed to CANCEL. I was not given a copy of anything and I didn't recall any more than I had given my card number. I went there that night. The person there told me there were no forms, so had me sign a statement on a sticky note. Never a word, then the 3rd charge showed up. UGH!! Unforturnately there were probably many people taken by this business. I finally was able to CANCEL after 2 more weeks of persistance. They won't refund my money because I "should have canceled" before they started charging me. Again, I was unaware that there was anything to cancel!! Groupon users beware!
