I received and abusive phone call this morning July 24, 2013 from the cancellation department of yellow us pages online listing. They stated that if I did not cancel today I would be obligated to pay $656 and that I had a balance due of $656 for a listing I had not been billed for and this was after the fact. In order to cancel my listing with them I was being recorded and had to accept last year's listing bill for the $656. I would not do that. They would not provide me with a customer service phone number. They would not cancel this obligation for the next year without accepting the financial obligation for the last year. When I refused, they hung up on me and then the cancellation department called again stating that if I didn't agree and take on the obligation I would be billed another $656 for a total debt of over $1300. I object to their methods. I feel this is extortion and abusive. I have a vague memory of being contacted by them two years ago. I remember being distrustful and calling them back and canceling all listings and services from them. How should I proceed at this point? Thank you for your help in this matter.
