I got an official looking letter from Corporate Business Filings. Asking for $225. I was abroad and my office colleague almost sent them the money. Since it was already late, I asked them to wait until I come back to the office.
Then I googled and found it is a scam.

  • I got the same letter & unfortunately, filled out the form & sent in the $225 since it was April 15, and I thought I was late in filing. Afterward, I googled Corporate Business Filings & realized they were scam artists & made a stop pay on the check...and thought I had resolved the matter. Now I've come to find out that a company was added as a member of my LLC without my knowledge...the name of the company is Camreal Estate. This was filed on 4/21/13...a week after I sent back my form to Corporate Business Filings....with signatures. Whoever has sent back the form...BEWARE & google your company to make sure the same thing didn't happen to you. This may be a case of Business Identity Theft!!! :-(
