International boundaries

Saw three charges for $.01 each on my bank account to their number. Immediately called the bank and had my account frozen. I called their number and was told these were "tests" to see if my account was valid as I had applied for a loan. I advised them that I had not applied for a loan and wanted my name and information deleted from their system, that this was a formal notice to them that they were not authorized to make any withdrawals from my account and that the account had been frozen. They made several attempts to talk me in to different "services" they offer. After being rebuked several more times, they finally told me they were cancelling my "subscription" and I would be receiving an email noting the cancellation information. I received the e-mail and guess I was lucky only to lose a few cents.
