I have been receiving threatening calls from this company for a few weeks. Upon calling them back I was given a 7 digit case # and threatened with a court summons if I did not make payment arrangements with them over the phone to pay down the amount said to be owed,$634.17. I asked them to allow me to call them back the follwoing day in order to set up the arrangment. During this time I did as much research as possible on the company and did not find any that seemed legit. I was unable to find an actual street address and when asked what the URG stands for the response wsa, "uh, nothing". I asked to have something in writing sent to me so that I may have a paper trail of any transactions with them. They immediately sent an email with an attached pdf file. While the "URG" logo appears on the letter, it simply states the amount owed and the original company that they "represent" and is signed with the name of Michael Lamb, Compliance Manager. I have not been able to find any additional information about this company that has not been associated with some sort of scam, that includes any searches for a Michael Lamb, Compliance Manager. I have not yet made any payment to this company out of fear of giving out banking information solely based on the fact that they say they are a legitimate company.
