A young man came to my door stating he was trying to sell magazines to win a trip to Italy. I wrote a check to Explorer Communications for a 2 yr subscription. Fortunately, my husband searched for Explorer Communications on google & found out it was a scam. I was able to stop payment on my check at a cost of $30. Since then, I have been receiving text messages & phone calls from sex hotlines etc. Which has been beyond annoying & grossly inappropriate, since mt young daughter sometimes answers the phone. Please note: He gave me a fake name "Bobby Elliot". REALLY?

- Hi, the same situation happened to me yesterday too. I already stopped payment on my checks, but now i'm wondering if i should also change my bank account number. Did anything else happened to your bank account after? Did they charge you with anything else? Did you have to change your bank account number? Thanks.
