On August 18,2011 I paid Tony Ellis (nickname Blue) $700.00 to replace the doors on my 2002 Chevrolet truck. He came back telling me he had found a headliner and power seats that would fit my truck.Mr. Ellis picked up my truck on September 1,2011. By this time the price had increased to $1470.00 which I paid in cash. Please see attachment for actual breakdown of dates and amounts paid to Mr. Ellis. I talked with him several times during the next few weeks. Every time I talked to him there was another excuse why he couldn't return the truck that day. He always had just a little more to do before the job was completed. Mr. Ellis also called and told me that his truck had a blowout and he couldn't go pickup one the parts for my truck. I told him he could borrow the spare tire off my truck so he could get the parts and complete the work on my truck. By September 20,2011 I started going to the shop where the work was to be done. I set outside the locked shop and waited six hours for him to show up.......he was supposedly 45 minutes away. He never showed up. I went back on September 22 and found the shop unlocked. Another mechanic was there and let me in to get my truck. I found the my truck backed up against a wall, with the original seats removed, no new headliner, no new doors and the right front wheel had been removed and was on a jack stand. Absolutely no work had been completed on the truck. The total amount that I paid for truck repairs was $1470.00. After I retrieved my truck I talked with the Dallas Auto Theft division. They had an investigator contact Mr. Ellis and informed him that the tire he had removed from my truck was theft. Since he has already been trouble with the law, he returned the tire the next day while I was out. I have talked to him a few times since and he is always going to call back and set up a payment arrangement but that has never happened.
In addition to the truck scam, Mr. Ellis convinced me to invest $1500.00 so we could buy and resale cars from the auction. I have never seen one penny of the investment nor any profit from sales.
Mr. Ellis also borrowed $295.00 for personal reasons. This was to be paid back. I've never received one penny repayment from Mr. Ellis.
I have signed contracts for each transaction that transpired.
