- Yes it is a scam! I am sorry that they did that to you, they have tried to scam me many times and have failed! We should never have to secure a loan especially when they already have your banking info. There is no trail when you use moneygram or western unions. Its a sure way to get away with stealing your funds and I bet they told you to call them as soon as you place the money on the card if so they are true scammers!!Hang up your phone
