I was recently browsing google to locate a money SAVING solution to getting calls from my fiance who is incarcerated, and came accross a SO CALLED company by the name of 'Prison Call Solutions' Sadly, it is one of the FIRST "companies" that comes up when you are looking for inmate calling plans. The company states that they will provide you with a local number to the prison your inmate is located in that will work with any phone to reduce the collect call amounts, because it is local instead of long distance. The company did provide me with a number, I found out that the number they are providing you with is a GOOGLE VOICE number which, if you could obtain yourself if you just go to google voice and set it up. Then they ask you what phone provider the prison uses and they knew exactly what to do from there. They already have the process down which is QUITE scary, because it leads you to believe they are a legitimate operation. Apparently, they set up a phone bill with YOUR NAME and a FALSE address near the prison of your inmate. They then send this FAKE phone bill to your inmates phone provider, in this case Global tel link, and a copy of the bill to you as well so that you know what to expect, i suppose. I provided my inmate with the number that they provided to me, and NOTHING ever came of it. He was never able to call and i was out of $38. I am very frustrated now because I am unable to contact anyone regarding a refund, and from what I have read, they are not in the business of providing refunds! PLEASE BE WARE, I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND THE INFO ON THIS SITE PRIOR TO MAKING THIS MISTAKE. I do not have an extra $38 to throw away on a company that has done NOTHING for me but provide me with a FREE GOOGLE VOICE NUMBER!!!!
