We were holidaying in Phuket in 2008 and went to a seminar held by Freedom Leisure Group where we bought into the "Designer Way Vacation Club" (and duly received membership details and a case of books etc.) We were given a cash back certificate guaranteeing the money would be returned to us after 5 years. We followed their instructions exactly at the 59th month stage (March 2013) and sent by registered mail courier express to their address in Bangkok, exactly as per the requirements. They have no phone number, and we have emailed several times. We cannot get a response, and yet they are still promoting the redemption process on the website. We took this all in good faith in 2008 and feel totally stupid now. Any ideas on what we can do. Somebody? I wonder how many other people are affected by this. Or perhaps there is only a selected few that bother or actually remember to try and claim their money back in the 5 year timeframe. Very disappointed. Not sure if we have a legal leg to stand on :(
