I purchased an Igloo chest freezer which is actually made by CURTIS INTERNATIONAL. Plugged it in and it worked just fine for about two to three months. Then one day I went to get something out and EVERYTHING was thawed. Hundreds of dollars of food down the drain. I called Best Buy who told me to call Igloo who then told me to call Curtis International because apparently Igloo doesn't make the freezers they just put their name on them. They told me to unplug the freezer for about 8hrs. We unplugged the freezer and left it off for over a day (24hrs) then plugged it back in. We waited about a week after plugging it in and then put food in it. About three weeks after plugging the freezer back in I went to check food out and once again EVERYTHING was thawed. Steaks, beef, pizza, frozen dinners.. EVERYTHING! Another hundreds of dollars of food down the drain. So I called the company once again for them to tell me that I would have to pay (out of my own pocket) to ship their faulty product over two states away to their service center so that they could MAYBE fix it. On top of the amount it would cost me to ship the product I would also have to pay an additional $7.00 insurance fee. Following this information I looked their company up on the internet just to find out that almost EVERY review the customer said that the EXACT thing happened to them. Clearly their is a problem with their products and they expect their customers to have to pay for their poor workmanship. Not only did I loose hundreds of dollars in food, now I am suppose to ship their faulty product back paying out of my own pocket. I do not have the time nor the money to pay for a repair on a product because the company creates faulty products. The first time I called Curtis International I demanded to speak to someone from corporate which they would not allow me to do. Instead they gave me a email for me to send a message to. I did so that very day and needless to say I have have heard one single thing back yet and that was over a month ago. NEVER GET ANYTHING FROM CURTIS INTERNATIONAL.. HORRIBLE PRODUCTS, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
