In an attempt to purchase a house, were advised by the mortgage company attempting to give them a mortgage loan. To pay off all their unresolved credit debts. They had a Court Judgement against them placed by Portfolio Recoveries. A credit debt collection agency. Even though they were advised to get a settlement for less than the original debt. They opted to pay them the debt in full $3,371.18. On February 28,2013 they paid the debt in full. They were given a letter of paid in full satisfaction and were promised that an official letter of paid in satisfaction would follow the next day to the court to clear the injunction and docket case. It was never sent and now they are about to lose all the money they paid to go into contract.
May 31,2013 because the Loan underwriters need a court clearance of the case against them. The court has searched the files and a letter was never sent to the court. The court offered a fax number so that they could clear the case. Portfolio Recoveries has refused to send the letter and has been very biligerent to the couple and has been stonewalling them for a response. Many friend and others have tried to call and this agency is extremely nasty with every one. The wife was even told that they would like them to lose the house for getting in debt in the first place.
