I called what I thought was Applecare and somehow ended up talking with a myhelptech representative. I googled Apple Tech Support and (my mistake) retrieved their number. I recently had my iPhone replaced and needed to backup restore the new phone with my iCloud. The representative told me they could retrieve my iCloud files (not true they were on the old phone) and needed to transfer me to a technical support representative. They also told me the Applecare plan I had didn't cover this type of support (not true because they are not Applecare). All I wanted which I expained are the pictures of my baby's first everything. They told me I needed to pay $119.99 for one year of service which was discounted from $150 and I would also get a $50 Visa gift card. So I agreed thinking they could help me with iCloud. When I talked to the tech support they told me they could NOT help me. I figured everything out on my own. I called the Apple store that had my old phone and they held it for me so I could go back in to backup and restore both phones with my pictures. I immediately called mytechhelp when they told me they could NOT retrieve my iCloud files and asked for a full refund. They denied my refund at first then told me I had to pay a non-refundable $50 diagnostic fee. So they only refunded me $69.99. Then tried to offer me other plans. I am calling my bank first thing this morning to cancel the transaction and cancelling the card. They lied to me from the start of the conversation and convinced me that they could help me and that they were giving me such a great Apple service. Lesson learned. ONLY CALL APPLE verify the numbers before you dial them!!!
