I was returning from a funeral and lost my cell phone. I was afraid it would not be turned in and I wanted my husband to call my phone carrier to advise them of the loss. I had no choice but to use the pay phone. The recording said to insert my card. When I tried numerous times to pay with various charge cards, I received the same recording saying the card was not valid. I tried to get a Bell operator on a Bell pay phone and was unable. To complete the call, I had to give my CC umber complete with the personal validation number on the back. I just received my billing and realized I was charged $17.45 for the call to my husband. It was a four minute call. This is horrendous!! This is a total scam!! What can be done?
