We purchased laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators and my husband has been in construction for 30 years and he knows how to install wood flooring.

When we purchased the laminate flooring, we asked how durable it was and how it would hold up to kids, a small dog, and water, etc they said this flooring was very durable and had no concerns about durability.

Two months after we installed it, we started noticing water damage, where a few drops of water would have spilled out from the dishwasher, or by our dog's water bowl, or where ice chips may have falling out of the ice maker where the laminate bubbles up in the seam of the flooring. The damage is now by the front door and throughout the kichten / dining room. This flooring is ruined and needs to be replaced.

This product is horrible, it's not durable at all and made from cardboard fibers. It will not hold up to normal wear and tear and when we filed a report with Lumber Liquidators months ago. We took pictures, sent the floor in, they had an "independent" inspector come to the house, and I don't believe she even looked at the vapor barrior because the flooring is installed over the barrior. We received a standard response that the damaged flooring was due to improper installation of the vapor barrior as if the moisture was coming from below the surface. The damage came from above the surface, top down through normal every day usage. We informed Lumber Liquidators we were not happy with their response so they asked us to submit another explanation or claim, and they returned to us another standard response of how they do not warranty this issue because it is incorrect vapor barrior installation. They will do nothing.

Lumber Liquidators laminate flooring is a sub-standard product that they are mis-representing when they sell it and you won't find out until after it's installed and it's too late. Lumber Liquidators intentionally mileads customers and will not honor warranties. We want a full refund, and do not ever shop at Lumber Liquidators.
