I was contacted concerning a secret shopper opportunity for MBC Research. I was sent a cashiers check for 2995 and instructed to deposit it. I did so. When the bank indicated it had cleared I withdrew 2700 to conduct the secret shopper assignment. I turned in the report and when I went back into my account on Friday, the check for 2995 had been cancelled.
