On 7/11/2011 traveling east on NH Rt.302 we approached a paint crew who were painting the highway with yellow lines. Following the highway signs (go right) and the hand movement of a state employee to pass on the right we did so. Upon doing so we noticed a cloud engulf the entire vehicle, at a later stop we noticed that the entire side of the vehicle including windows & tires were covered with yellow paint. We reported this via telephone to the NH DOT(Dept of Transportation)the following day and filed a written claim with estimates and pictures. They claim to have done an investigation of this matter and denied it claiming they followed procedure. (which is very vague to say the least). Having to appeal this decision we were not aware of the corruption, lies and outright disrespect for victims of such negligence by Goverment employees and departments including up to the Governors office. We will submit for your records all correspondence with the NH DOT, which according to NH elected officials are bogus, without merit and a department lacking proper supervision. Also included a letter to then Governor John Lynch which his aides responded to and told they would look into it, only to never hear from them again, knowing full well the Governor never got wind of our concerns, therefore having to deal with another elected official renigging on campaign promises. Being encouraged by elected State officials we did appeal the decision to the NH Secretary of State Board of Claims, provided them as informed three copies of all relevant correspondence, estimate, pictures etc. This was filed and received by the Office on 3/30/2012. To date(over one year later)true to all goverment agencies, NO REPLY!!! Rest assured as told by a State Rep they have it on file! Last years election (Nov 2012) resulted in a new governor for our state,(Maggie Hassan). We like fools believed in her campaign promises and wrote her personnally at her home in Exeter NH, not wanting to deal with aides who carry no clout, don't have any clues of our concerns, nor do they care... Enclosed is a copy of the certified mail receipt which was signed for on 2/7/13 at her residence, this letter (copy submitted) included our plight with all goverment agencies under her watch, we now feel and are sure just like the last governor there is no time to be wasted on such frivolous claims and NH residents... We ask that after reviewing our letters and documents, could you find a way to get this matter along with our letters to the governor and not aides, or any entity that could awake these sleeping giants, handle warranted claims with dignity and the respect they deserve.
