Vendor sold me a Milltech Turboback SS exhaust for my 2009 BMW Z4S3.5i. Exhaust system didn't fit a US spec vehicle without a good deal of heating and bending by a specialized muffler shop with the proper equipment and tools. Vivid Racing promised me a replacement mufflers for the ones that were damaged and didn't fit (they were dented and looked like beat up junk - not Vivid Racings fault that the manufacturer shipped the system damaged- Welding was unneven and sloppy and 1 muffler dented). I kept the system based upon that promise. Then a week or 2 after I was told that they have no mufflers in stock for my car at the manufacturer, and that it will be somnetime to make them. Also, the mufflers will be the same ones that didn't fit in the first place! Wouldn't reimburse me a dime for the cost of making the mufflers and midpipe fit by heating and bending them at a wonderfull reasonable cost muffler shop. Vivis Racing made full profit and I got stuck with a product that didn't fit my car without my spending a large sum of money to fix the problems. Vivid Racing never owned up to their responsibility as sellers to make me whole for their misrepresented product. They blamed the manufacturer, and though they are aware it's not a 'fit', they are still selling the exhaust system. They took down my customer evaluation twice. I did say BUYER BEWARE! I didn't want anyone else stuck in my situation.
Since I relied upon their false promise to send me mufflers that fit, I retained the system waiting in good faith. Because of that, my credit card company had no recourse on my behalf. I've paid full retail for a system that shouldn't be sold as fitting a US spec Z4S3.5i. The system is fine now after I spent well over $600 in labor! Vivid Racing wouldn't kick in a dime. The manufacturer kicked in $300 for the damaged mufflers for my aggravation. Nothing for the fitament issue was fortcoming from either seller nor manufacturer. Took 1.5 hours to reshape the system at the muffler specialist after it was installed at my repair shop, which had installed many Milltech exhausts with no prior issues. The sales manager at Vidid Racing said these were 'minor' installation issues. If so minor, why didn't they pay for them. $600+ and my time isn't minor to me! Oh, I even took the car to my BMW dealership before the muffler shop. Their team all said it didn't fit and was rubbing in many spots. That was an independent opinion, as they can't install non-BMW made parts. This was the only aftermarket muffler I purchased that was such a horrible fit. I've owned many on Audi, BMW and Porsche cars prior. The turboback system on my BMW 335 coupe was so fast and easy to install that they didn't even charge me for the install. The fitment was perfect as it should be. A square just can fit into a round hole! Vivid has no remorse nor owns up to this fiasco and false promises. The proof is that they continued to advertise this system on their site knowing the issues. No morality nor customer loyalty/respect. Just the almighty dollar. Shame on them
