I responded to an
aol homepage add for free sample of their skin care for only shipping which was under $2.00. That was their strategy, free sample under $2 shipping. Well sappy me bit and it turned out to be something quite different. I have seen other posts and the same thing happened to me. In about ten days or two weeks, My account was overdrafted to the amount of the above, $97.88+$12.50 overdraft fee from the bank. I imeeediately called my bank and filed a dispute claim for he amount and also a claim for stop payment which is still pending. Toay, I talked with their representative, who told me I had signed up for a ten day trial and showed me a different printed statement of condidtions. I told her I would file a claim with the Attorney General if hey did not refund my money, and she put me on hold while she supposedly spoke to a supervisor. When she returned she said they could not refund the entire amount, but she attempted to bargain with me by making varies offers of facecial care and face masks and finally it got up to $50, but I refussed, saying I wanted all my money refunded or I would file a claim against them, she then told me a supervisor would call me. like i believe that. She had emailed me a copy of what she claimed had been the conditions of the offer, but it was not the same as the one I had seen at the time of my purchase. She told me that was the one the bank would see and they would deny my claim. She thought that would detour me. It was at this point I had told her I would file a claim with the Attorney General. I was fully aware of what she was doing I don't respond to these kind of offers, but their strategy had aimed directly at me and my concern about wrinkles at this particular time, and so they caught me off guard. But I expect to win this one, and hopefully stop them from coninuing to scam other people. It was then she told me a supervisor would call me. I know that will not happen. So now having filed a claim with my bank I am also posting this claim against this obvious scammer. They have been getting away with it just too long and they msut be stopped in their dirty tracks. Basicall my dealings with these people is pretty much the same as others and I am glad I found your site.
