  • This has also happened to me.. They were responding to my application for a job and said I need training, after which they asked me for my card details. I haven't posted a complaint because I'm not really sure it's a scam or just very naive incompetence.

  • Did you pay for it at the end? I didn't but they are reported all over the internet as a scam, just put their 'company' name into google. Always the same method. Only names of company always change, like - AGE Train, A.G.E. Training, AGE Medical or AGE Recruitment. But it's still the same people.

  • We are sorry to have to read these negative comments about us. Firstly let us address the name changes. Age Train was the initial trading name of the organisation, but after this we started focusing purely on the Medical industry, as to why we changed to AGE Medical. At this time we have expanded to a size where we deal with a number of industries and so that name was no longer applicable hence our new name.

in regards to helping people with vacancies, we help over 3000 people a year, and bring in a minimum of 20 live vacancies a week. If there are uncertainties about our services or what we do, we are an open office within working hours, and drop in visits are always available, to which any concerns in regards to the positions we have can be proved and addressed.

In regards to card payments, we cannot physically force someone to pay for education. If candidates already have trainings as stated on our advertisements, we are able to forward them to our positions without having to charge for any trainings.

The bottom line here is that if as a job seeker and you are unprepared to further your education or training then you should seek out appropriate industries. All our advertisements do state what is required so we advise you read them carefully before applying.

Once again if there are any uncertainties, simply ask for an appointment at the office. It is a very simple way of dealing with any insecurities. We are an organisation that works alongside the Job Centre and Newham Council, so them having faith in our services should be reason for you to have faith in us also.
