I had to use a Bell payphone, with credit card, to call for a driver to come pick me up from hospital, after surgery. The number was a long distance cellphone but I was connected for less than ONE minute. My card has been billed CAD$11.49 This seems a ridiculous amount but very similar to what other people have paid for their calls. This cost is so high that my company will not reimburse me, as they do not believe it was my call for a ride, but must be a personal call of some minutes...I feel totally ripped off.

  • I contacted the company via their website and they replied very quickly. They are in the process of refunding my credit card with 50% of what I was charged. This takes the charge down to what it would have cost to use coins. I am satisfied with this outcome. The company customer service team worked very quickly and courteously during this situation. I suggest to any person with a complaint against WiMacTel to contact them directly to resolve your issue.
