On 2/28/13, i went online to obtain a payday loan. I had never contacted impact loans in itself. However after research later found out that they are aka of several online payday companies as well as car loans. They called and said that I had been approved for a loan up to $5,000 with a payment agreement of $367.00 per month. I accepted and i was told to go to a western union and wire $425.00 for a retainer fee. In return I was supposed to receive back $5,425.00. I spoke to James Smith who sounded of Indian decent as a matter of fact everyone sounded indian. Long story short after sending the money via western union and waiting as instructed (store mgr is writing a notarized statement to the validity of my story), I never received the money but instead was told it had gone back to impact within 5 min because they could not verify that western union, although I had just sent my $425.00 from the same location. After getting the run around for about 4 hrs. I called which was supposed to be a senior mgr, Harry Kalvin who told me that they could not do the loan because my credit score was low and that i should send the company $339.00 to fix my credit in order to receive the $5,000 and my $425. I refused and he then said that they would be sending my $425 back to me within 6 days which never happened. So I called back just to be told that they did not send the money back because they could not verify my name and that i should send them $229.00 to fix the problem to get my money back along with the $229.00. As of last week I have received several threatening calls from this company also going under different names. The police are now involved.
